Alerts
The administrator (e.g. a parent) of Responsible Surfing can configure the program so he/she will receive alerts by e-mail and/or SMS when a family member tries to open a blocked application, receives or sends e-mail, tries to open a blocked site or types in a specific word (e.g. telephone number or home adress).

Receive alerts by e-mail and/or SMS

You (the administrator) can receive instant alerts via e-mail and/or SMS when some action you have configured as blocked or monitored is taken on your home computer.

Receive Reports by E-mail
The administrator can configure a report of all computer usage to be sent at certain intervals (e.g. every day at 12.00). This report is a summary of all computer use on the home computer.

Receive instant alerts when a keyword or a phrase is typed or detected
You (the administrator) can specify inappropriate words and phrases or specific details you don't want shared (addresses or phone numbers) in the program's settings, and every time a user types something on that list it triggers an instant alert to the administrator by e-mail and/or SMS.

Receive instant alerts when a certain website is visited
You (the administrator) can specify what websites are blocked and if anyone tries to enter one of these website it triggers an instant alert to the administrator by e-mail and/or SMS.

Receive instant alerts when a certain application is opened
You (the administrator) can specify what programs or applications are blocked and if someone tries to open a blocked program/ application it triggers an instant alert to the administrator by e-mail and/or SMS.  This is especially useful in combatting addictions to chat programs, on-line games, e.g. World of Warcraft or P2P file sharing programs.

Default Warning Dialog Page
Displays Responsible Surfing's default warning when a forbidden action is taken or a user tries to enter a website that is blocked. The program comes with a set of preset default messages. There is pre set default messages: “This is not a family friendly website..."

Custom Warning Dialog Page
You (the administrator) can create custom warning dialog pages that are triggered when a blocked action is taken. This can be used to create messages appropriate for specific family members, including his/her name with the message.

Access our Black List Database
The Responsible Surfing team is dedicated to build a database of blacklisted sites.  There are currently over 50,000 undesirable websites and pages in our database that can blocked if a user tries to open them. The list is constantly updated and all users can and are encouraged to suggest sites they come across to the list.

Create your custom Black List
Compile your own list of websites you wish to block.

Create a White List
You (the administrator) can compile a special list of safe sites and limit family members' access to only these pages.  Then you can be 100% sure your students do not visit sites that could do them harm.  Then you have created a totally safe zone for your family members.
